Eldwood Keycard, Unable to assassinate without being noticed.
I have been repeatedly attempted to either pick pocket, intimidate or kill Elwood without being noticed, but no matter when I off him, in the hallway or the room when no one is around, I am always popped hostile when I move into the other areas. Am I doing something wrong? Do I need to kill him in steal? Is a Psi ability too "loud" to kill someone with? I have terrible stealth skills and my char is primarily Psi and lockpick oriented with decent speech skills save intimidation. Any hints?

I just turned the power off, waited in the hallway for him while the lights were off, and popped him in the head with my .44 pistol. No stealth needed as long as no one sees you kill him. :)

Be aware that, come the next major update, a noise system is going to be implemented, thus making any non-stealthy assassination attempts verrrrrry difficult to pull off.
Although I imagine that Styg will go back and make sure there are other ways to swipe his keycard (such as just flat-out bribery).

I had the power off, was still aggrod when I went around the corners. Dunno what to do, might just redo my char and go spend points into intimidation.

I always ignore the power switch. I just stand in the hall and shoot him when he is in the middle of the hall. I don't get aggro from anyone else.

I found a way to psi stealth kill him by using cryokin then cryostas then another cryokin.
problem is though, im a greedy opportunist, and i want those 261 Stygians.

No matter what i use, psi, crossbows, gas, i cannot stealth kill anyone else except for the bartender without everyone auto alerted by instant mental awareness.

i hope the stealth factor for thought control is fixed cause everything is auto detect no matter what i sling at em.

Love this game though, most fun i've had in stat strat game in a long time.

I did that mission, my build is knive+crossbow sneaker and he is terrible at his job (DepotA for drill parts still haunt me).
Went to the gambling den wearing Ratking suit :D started conversation with Elwood and quickly ended, he went to the dark corridor where my chara stabbed him (best done wtih well placed Dirty Kick at the start) and walk away.
Surprisingly easy.

A new way to take care of Elwood was added in v. 1.0.2.2, which is currently up for public beta testing here on Steam and on GOG. To access the beta, go to your Library, r-click on Underrail, select Properties, and then go into the Betas tab and select "Experimental Build" under the dropdown.
Despite the name, I've noticed no game-breaking glitches of any kind within the current beta, so feel free to convert to it. I highly recommend you make a back-up of your saves, nonetheless, as there are very minor compatibility issues that might present themselves.
Be aware that this new method requires something in the range of 15-25 Persuasion. You may finally be able to Intimidate him, too, but I haven't tested that yet.
