I know what Styg has said about being unable to offer mod support yet, specially in the form of some sort of modding kit or tools, but I still think this kind of change should be feasible, especially if he were to let us know what would have to be edited. As I said, I lack the necessary technical knowledge to do it myself, but all my years of pc gaming and using mods lead me to believe it might be a relatively easy mod to make.
I understand why the cap exists, as I said in my first post. That's the reason I don't expect Styg to get rid of it oficially because, yes, it creates other problems that he would then have to solve. It doesn't change the fact that I don't like it as a mechanical choice. You have two different issues here, becoming overpowered (as you just said) or having an end to the progression. I'd much rather deal with becoming overpowered, as then I can play the game on my own rythm instead of being constantly worried that I'm getting too far in levels too fast, meaning that I'll soon hit the ceiling and permanently lose the capacity to grow my character somehow. It's just a matter of preference, really.
minus 17

IMO, level caps are for Hard Mode.
