Some help - the Scrappers in Junkyard

So in trying to find a way to the old junkyard (which I've spent hours and hours trying to do... I including sneaking into the mindshroom area, only to be blocked by a 60 hacking door), I thought hey, maybe the Scrapper Thugs up in the northen section of Junkyard are guarding a secret path.

So I killed those two. Thinking, since it was only partially controlled, I could get away with it. But, no, no all scrappers hate me now.

That's cool, I'm level 8, I managed, over the course of a full day (on holidays), to take the entire scrapper base out.

I've got Eddy's key. But I still can't get to the back of the Scrapper base, and I still can't get to the old Junkyard.

I'm fairly... frustrated at this point. I've literally spent a couple of days doing sweet f all, trying to complete the Armadillo quest.

I feel like crying right now... in an effort to offload all the loot I got from the scrappers I went to Coltan in the Black Eel section. I figured I'd go through all the conversation options again.

I wonder how much XP i lost out on not being able to do any of the Scrapper quests? :/ not to mention the hours I'll never get back from taking the base out as a level 8, poorly optimised character.

Did you ever try asking the Scrapper junk salesman about where you might find an armadillo chip?

Not really a problem. You lost out maybe ~5XP.
You should be able to complete the Black Eels questline, no?

I _thought_ I had gone through every converstation line with every named NPC in Junkyard. All I got from the Scrappers was insults, if memory serves.

Leventhan, I did, and I have. I've now got the Armadillo part :)

FYI for future readers, you can also get access to the Old Junkyard if you talk to Eddy, leader of the Scrappers.
