Best Psi Schools
As a pure psi build with no melee or gun, should I focus on two schools of Psi or all four? I'm currently on my first playthrough doing a TC/TM build and just got to Depot B and doing alright, but i'm essentially spamming 1 ability for combat and getting kind of bored. I'm starting to regret not going quad school to have more variety of attacks.

Pure Psionic (Tranquility) build, you can find an excellent Steam Guide for it, just search by Most Popular. Esentially, go for all 4 schools and invest minimally in Temporal Manipulation while going all in in the other 3. Problem solved and the aforementioned build is quite fun, regardless of difficulty setting. Having a blast with it on my 2nd playthrough of Underrail.

I'd argue the best psi school to prioritize (initially, at least) is metathermics.
Cryokin is MVP in early game, plasma beam takes over in late game.

Neural Overload for single targets. Telekinetic Punch if you also want to stun them. For crowd control, Electrokinesis all the way.

Picking just 2 schools is best, unless you really know what your doing. Going all 4 is fine but you will be giving up alot of skill points for variety that you may not use. You will only have so many psi ability slots and either you will put all 4 schools while increasing your psi cost or you will just over time not use a school at all.

Going 4 schools is usually superfluous, since you have limited innervation slots.

Intelligence 12, helps. Then again, I barely used Temporal since it has very few good, offensive abilities.

metathermics + psychokinesis, would not go full psi on anything other than normal difficulty since early to early-mid game requires a lot of knowledge about what is where and how to deal with it unless youre fine with using a guide. current dominating psi build: https://underrail.info/build/?GAYDBwQFCwrCgigAAAAAwoIAAAAAS3MKRlUAwoLCggAzAEorJig5P00dwrAuHCpnCmTCveKdtATioqMB4qyWBN-- shotgun is largely just for show but can perform for when everything is on cooldown, stealth will save you headaches and can net you easy exp with burrower mine quest.

No point in playing above Normal for someone who's just getting started with Underrail. It's not like there's a Steam Achievement anyway for playing on Hard or Dominating.

And the shafting of the selling prices, constitutes the main reason why I never play above normal, whether I go guns blazing, melee or psionic.
