Execute
I took this feat on my playthrough, but it never felt like it was worth it. 250% damage looked so good on paper, but in reality it seemed like I rarely got to use it, and when I did, it usually did inferior damage to Aimed Shot. Anyone else find it more useful? Maybe it'd be better if I'd had an electroshock pistol or a tazer? All I had was flashbangs, and never enough to use them unless necessary (I didn't take crafting skills).

Pistols got too much nerfed with the full release version so naturally Execute is weaker too especially because chemical and energy pistols were banned from Execute, for a good reason actually.

In the last alpha version pistols were the most powerful weapons. Steadfast Aim was crazy strong and with all the critical damage feats you would Execute with an electroshock pistol for 4k+ damage and 65% of that damage would jump to the next target and so forth for 3 times allowing you to reliably kill 4 targets with one shot.

Now it's only possible with firearms and usually it's too much of a trouble: You need to disable the target, be 2,5 or less tiles away plus it adds 5AP to your weapon shot. When you already fire for 9 AP (which is optimal IMO) it's not a very good addition as you need 10 AP to stun with a taser. In this case AP spent vs damage is worse than just shooting 3 times (or better doing Rapid Fire and Point Shot) so I usually have something better to pick.
It's ok on PSI hybrids though if you use premeditated Electrokinesis for 0 AP stuns. I like to keep my second slot for chemical weapons, not a fan of eletroshock pistol anymore as it's doesn't stun reliably anymore (It used to be a 100% chance).

With stealth+guns+TC build it's only good with flashbangs against crowd when your snipe and aimed shot are on cooldowns. I almost never use it 1v2 with TC mind break because its easier to stealth and make a guaranteed kill with snipe. Also that +5AP really hurts as it puts Warhawk on the same level as sniper rifles meaning no grenade the same round.

Overall while the skill has nice crits its not really worth it - it's not often that you have enemy stunned/mezzed, close and have that extra 5AP to spare. Would be better if it had lower requirements (+slowed/immobilized) and/or base AP cost.

With my first character, I thought that skill was a waste cause I didn't get a lot of damage, but now I am quite happy with it. In first place it seem immobilize works for execute as well as incapacitate and I am doing a lor of damage with it (have done over 800 damage in a single shot sometimes)

I use it mostly for isolated targets I sneak close in or small groups (to take the first one down fast). About the weapon, only pistols that affect a single target works so that means some energy pistols work too (I am using plasma but laser should too). THe other weapon I am using is a custom crafted .44 pistol and I'm quite happy with the results with it too.
