EXPEDITION - native graveyard - enemy you cannot target

So I've gotten to the native graveyard at the north of the map where you cannot save. I've learned not to open graves but you can loot the pots and pick up salves and potions that are lying around. However when you loot graves not only does it get darker but you get an unseen enemy that you cannot target (you can see an outline though). I've tried using the Juice to get Second Sight but still cannot target it. And unlike doppelgangers, I can't use Neural Overload on it either. I've reloaded and tried this area several times and from what I can see, I don't think there is anything in the graves that you can't get from the pots so I don't think avoiding looting the graves is a big deal. But there are also hoist mechanisms which I assume you need the bone crank for and it seems to be attached to one of the many hoist mechanisms in the 4 areas and it brings up a corpse. Searching the corpse apparently is the same as opening a grave, but the corpse has dozens of search options and you will inevitably get the untargetable enemy showing up. I even avoided searching the corpse but eventually the enemy showed up after a while. So, I'm assuming there is something you should be getting from the corpse but you can't search with that unseen enemy around. Does anyone know how to defeat it?

OK, thanks. I assume the corpse is that of Yngwar's brother? Since I am on fairly "friendly" terms with him if I give him food, can I get the rune symbol from him?

Also is the Bone Crank an actual item? One of the hoist mechanisms brought up a body but when I looked in my inventory there was no Bone Crank. The Stygian wiki says that it sometimes spawns already attached to a hoist mechanism so I was wondering if that was it.

Yes, a quest item of like 10 kg, goes in the invetory near all the keys and other junks.
Either standing near a wall somewhere OR already in a hoist mecanism (if so, right clic on the mecanism and "dismantle" option to get it).

Ho, and as you'll already figured by the untargettable/unkillable thing, it's a run and grab kind of thing. Find your thing, get your thing; get out, you dont really need pots and tombs things.

You have more than enough time to find the relevant grave and pull out the shard before the spirits start spawning as long as you don't rob any other grave. Pots and tombs only have some generic native loot (fish, organs, bison milk, salves/potions), and like 2 unique oddities so you're not missing much if you don't touch them. Once you've got the shard you can get out, save and return to the area to quickly find these oddities before the spirits get you
