Oligarchs Vendors
So, doing my first Hard playthrough. I have Oculus available with 100+ Mercantile, giving me 160Q electronic parts, which in theory should make Coretech a bit useless in terms of parts. This leaves me with a choice between other two. Wiki isnt really helpful about what exactly each faction trader gives, so correct me if I'm wrong - since JKK is more about infiltration they should have high quality Black Cloth\Soft Padding while Praetorians should have high quality armor parts?

Or there are better traders than them as well and the choise is purely cosmetic and story-related?

Story related, what type of vendor they are for buying and selling, but also keep in mind faction specific gear.

I swear I've never used Praetorians as anything more than another good place to sell guns and armor. Not sure how I would categorize JKK, but yes, they tend to have high quality cloth and components for stealthy gear. JKK faction gear is more generally useful, since the jacket is just so cool.

The faction traders are among the best in the game, so they will give more opportunities to get the high quality parts you need. So it's both Constantine can provide everything you need and an appropriate faction merchant still helps.

Coretech still has the best merchant - you get hacking tool to help with bots and early plasma grenade BP, not to mention the consistently high quality electronic components. Constantine can get you higher quality stuff, but it's very random. Praetorians are alright for tin cans and gun builds as they stock good quality armor and components, but they're not as good as the ones sold by Fraser in Fort Apogee. JKK shop just sucks, I don't think they have anything worthwhile at all.

No they don't. Ola sells a pretty random selection of items, but cloth/padding isn't on the list.

Good to know, haven't picked JKK in a long time, but my recollection was that Ola has similar inventory to Beckett.

That's a shame, one would think they should have nice stuff too, oh well.

Thank you for the answers, guys. It helped.

I don't know why he doesn't. It's not like it'd be inappropriate. He even sells black cloth tabis, but no plain black cloth.

Main advantage of JKK is you can save skill points if you want persuade. Especially if you have 5 will.
The shop can sell good things though. It's just that there's a huge variety of things it sells so the likelihood of getting something you actually want to buy is pretty low.

JKK store sells [https://stygiansoftware.com/wiki/index.php?title=Hypno_Goggles Hypno Googles] - need 5 WIL, max quality = +30 persuasion.

Coretech store sells plasma grenade BP early, and offers high quality electronic parts.

Praetorian Security stores buy metal armors + sell [https://stygiansoftware.com/wiki/index.php?title=Chemhaze_Grenade Chemhaze Grenade] which is great for TM Temporal Distortion build.
