Ya kinda already one-tap everything, nay ?
I would hope it wouldn't get nerfed. The shock attachment is probably still better for a majority of situations. It makes you hit really high on low armor enemies, but still gets massively reduced against high armor enemies. Without super slam those spikes rarely even add damage that doesn't get completely resisted. The biggest advantage is that I was able to play a 3 int 0 Electronics cave man and still SLAM.
I can screenshot my damage log with and without super slam and post it here for those curious. I probably won't go through the effort of testing armor spikes though until a later play through. Next hammer build I will create my character with max health in mind(for super slam). So probably metal armor with at least enough armor penalty for juggernaut, fur hat/bio scrubber, pig/bison boots, and then strap as many spikes on my armor and weapons as possible. If armor spikes work the same as sledge spikes that slam will hit over 2k without crit.
Edit: I quickly tested armor spikes and not only do they not benefit from str/melee or expertise, they do not add super slam damage. My disappointment is immeasurable, but hey hitting 1500 damage with an un optimized non crit super slam is pretty good.
