What to do with Clam meat?
What is the purpose of clam meat, exactly? It's labeled as a component, but as far as I can tell it isn't used in anything. It's not classified as a food item, so the AEGIS chef, who's specialty is steamed buttery clams, will buy them. I presume the same for the pirate chef.

I'm guessing it's just a consolation prize, a la "Looks like no pearl for you, have this instead".

The game calls it a component (why?) but it still counts as a food, so food vendors will buy it. So I guess that is its purpose. Though you probably have enough money that you don't really care by the time you're in the Black Sea.

theres alot of just useless junk in the game imo. maybe its used for 1 single thing like coal or hopper meat but until you find a use just leave it.

Pretty sure camping and cooking were intended features for the expansion, but they didn't make it in. My guess is some left over stuff, like coal and clam meat, had other things planned for them.
