TRAPS
... even my char finds them all, he isn't really able to disarm them ...
tried to shot them, throw grenedas etc. on them, lure enemies into them ...
nothing worked

so I have to step on them :steammocking: to get rid of the ones, which are in front of a chest etc.
I have a knife with trap +7,

but are there others "items" , tricks etc. to disarm them ?

didn't really want to invest points into traps, but seems I have to ?

Thanks

Explosive traps can be disarmed, however if you don't have a high enough skill (boostable with items or not) then you'll just have to trigger them the old-fashioned way & attempt to tank the damage (best hope it isn't a high-level acid or plasma mine).

If i recall correcly, there is a unavoidable bear trap on a bridge in the sewers where the guy with the bio gloves is, another one in a sewers part that is exclusive to a specific Core City faction, and a electroweb in front of a shelve where the powerfist is. Those 3, in the whole game, shall be sprung with your body if you cant disarm them. There are rules fdor disarming, but i cant recall if its 20 more skill points than the skill level to put in on the ground, so dont quote me on that, just know that you have to invest a small to fait bit of skills on it.

Other than that, there are no bear traps that are unavoidable, put detection googles on and eat a mushroom salad if you have trouble finding trap, then, just go around them. The mines can be detonated, primary with low level grenades, but only : i use exothermic aura to create a spot of flames touching the mine, and next turn the mine explodes, with me having a bit of distance now. Why that way ? Because i can :p

Other items : a traper belt with a +15% to trap skills or something like that. You cant ry eating a food Eel sandwich i think, if the related stat to traps is dexterity, you gain +8% (something like that) to skills related to each point of stat. With the jacknife, belt and food you already have a modicum of skill, add the mecanical crafting side bonus and you got something hopefully enought to disarm small bear traps. Or just avoid them ? ;)

bear traps deal like zero damage so you could eat it no problem, for the explosive ones just throw a grenade to get rid of them.

Electrokinetic imprint will make the trap disappear but you will eat the electrical damage from it so wear your high lighting resistance armor 1st
