I don't like the idea of counter-ambushing the bandits before I talk to them, since in-character my character hasn't talked to them yet and does not know their intention when I reload the game. Breaks immersion.
P.S. Git gud. Read text.
I've seen this excuse, and it doesn't make sense. How did they know I even had the package? There was nobody around when I picked it up, Why can't I attempt to argue my way out of the situation with a persuation/intimidate-build, or something like that? No amount of "reading text" would change the poor design of this encounter, there's zero hints to what is coming, and the most common way to take them out from what I can gather from forums is to die, then reload and counter-ambush with grenades now that you are armed with out-of-character knowledge. Makes no sense in-game.
No, I've already written that it's no problems now that I know that it isn't the only way out, which I thought before. I was responding in a pissy manner to the other guy that was being pissy about me complaining.
However, I very much disagree with the argument "lol u lied so it's your fault". There's zero connection to that and getting jumped by bandits, it's just a cope by people trying to excuse it.
I'm not saying you deserve to lose because you lied, I'm saying you started the sidequest while you were underlevelled. And that usually does lead to losing unless you play smart.
Every scrub prefers to whine about "bad design*, not that you know anything about designing a game, you just prefer to blame the game and devs instead of yourself. The encounter is also piss easy.
