Killed Mordre at level 6 lol.
Soooo i think i just found a exploit.

After trying and failing to even get close to killing this Mordre guy, I started trying diffrent nades on um. Turns out if you use the toxic Gas grenade he doesn't agro lol, Just sits there a dies xD Also, O man did he have some Sick ♥♥♥ OP loot. Seems like if this exploit doesn't get patched, It will be a great way for peeps playing on Dom Difficulty To get a massive head start.

Side note: Holy ♥♥♥♥ who was that guy and why was he so OP!? xD

Hmm.... well he is a key person in a fairly long quest chain that unlocks the best vendor in the game and also gives you an amazing item as final reward.

Doesn't aggroing Mordre also aggro all of SGS? Because uh yeah.
Exploiting game for some better start at Dominating difficulty? Export your previous run character and start new game with it. This will grants you much more overpowered start than any exploit could do.

I sniped him down once at the start of a run and didn't realise this until much later when it was too late, lol. I'm guessing since he doesn't aggro (apparently?) with chemical grenades, that it's not actually counting it as you killing him and thus SGS probably doesn't react according, but I dunno. I can never find chemical grenades until after Depot-A, myself. Guess you need to make 'em?

Yes ive been in and out of the SGS station with no issues. And ya, as far as i can tell, you gota craft the TG grenade as no one ive seen yet has it. Biology 20
Chemistry 20. I think it was Harold that occasionally sells the toxic sludge needed.

Does it mess with a certain later quest at all, if you know?

Of course it should, because to gain a best result you need Mordre to confess his crime. And while he's dead he can't confess. So you won't be invited to Oculus.

That's actually the best way to prevent that sort of opportunism. Make the npc necessary to grab the best stuff in the game :P

You don't need him to confess, so OP should be good. Probably.

As long as Mordre dropped the insignia he should be good, although him being dead at all (if the game registers it) might be considered not the optimal solution.

He did drop a insignia.

At least his quest isn't essential to progression, if it does break - although hopefully you just miss out on fluff filler by not interrogating him.
Qiox Jul 13, 2020 @ 12:28pm
I just did the quest today involving Modre. You can get an optimal solution without ever talking to him or even stepping into the zone where he is located. You don't need the insignia at all.

OP should be fine.

And you was invited to Oculus? Convincing your employer "I've got no solid evidence, but this guy is a murderer for sure, thust me."? That's ridiculous.
