EDIT: Oh, yeah, and you're going to want to reroll a new character if you're using Guns/Crossbows with 6 Perception at level 9. Unless you're on Easy, that's just an unwinnable build.
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, man.
it already took me long enough to reach this point, don't think i have the patience to reset all.
and now that i've checked the wiki the devs also did me a favor making it so there's literally no item that can raise perception other than the blasted googles and a combat drug you get later on in the game
Sheesh, any suggested build for when i lose my last shred of sanity and end up reinstalling the game?
First, there's a Cheat Engine for UnderRail. I know nearly nothing about it, so set to Googling. I do know that you can reassign your ability scores with it, though. If you don't have it in you to restart, that's maybe a possibility.
Second, there's a really, really, really useful FAQ that a user named destroyor has put together for this game. It does contain a bunch of spoilers, so you may want to skip it. But the spoilers are mostly marked so if you have the willpower to skip past sections marked spoiler, then perhaps you would care to look. At the very least, if you skip right to the character build sections, then you won't get too many spoilers. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=843557165
Here's a general summary in case you want to skip the FAQ and possible spoilers: Psi is very powerful. Stealth is very powerful. Sniping is very powerful. Once you know the mechanics, unarmed is surprisingly powerful. When in doubt, specialize more. More. More than that. There you go. Specialize that much at least.
