the quest to capture the cave hoppers is very hard even in easy games , no possibility to make pause

I try a lot of time to put a dog crate ( I have seen on youtube ) on them without succes

Stand in front of a hole that they pop out of.

When one comes out, hit Enter key to go into combat mode. This will freeze the hooper 1 or 2 tiles away from you.

Right-click the crate in your inventory, Left-click the hooper.

You will catch it 100% of the time.

You can also buy traps from Big Bret in SGS; they are very cheap. They will hold the hoppers still for long enough that you can walk up to them and trap them in real time. They do not require any Traps skill.

another small problem with them
when you cross some parts of the caves if there are cave hoppers ou enter in fight always even you want to stop this fight he start always

finaly if you have no interest to fight with high number of them you lose a lot of time for nothing

may be I don't find an easy solution

I have started the game since 1 week

thanks

I think this happens if you attack one of the hoppers but don't kill it so it "aggros" every time you pass by. Not sure though.

Use the hopper traps provided at the start of the quest. If you go to the storage room as sugested, you can get two for free. You can buy the third one pretty cheap. Just set the hopper trap near the holes where they spawn from and walk a good distance away so they can spawn without being scared off. Then when they are pinned down, use the crate on them for an easy capture.
