Faction choice and Oddities
I have 3 factions to choose: Pretorians, JKK and Coretech.

What choice is best for oddity? What oddities i lose (and cant find somewhere else) by choosing each side?

I don't know, pretty sure it's almost the same.

I remember JKK has an exclusive area to visit, but not sure if there was unique oddities there... Other you can collect the oddities even if you don't do the quests.

I usually pick Corretech because it's near the elevator and because electronic merchant is probably the more useful...

Pretorian also have exclusive area to visit. This is problem.

Key differences between questlines

The Coretech questline involves finding a lost agent and tracking down stolen technology.
Coretech only locations: none

The JKK questline involves mostly undercover work, infiltration and such.
JKK only locations: Abandoned Biocorp Facility

The Praetorian Security questline involves most direct combat.
Praetorian Security only locations: North-northeast part of Core City Sewers (notably, there are Mysterious Pillars similar to the ones in Silent Isle)

So Coretech is bad for oddities, this leaves JKK or Pretorian for (unique?) oddities. If i chose JKK or Prets do i miss some oddity that i cant get later in game?

Worst idea in oddity.

Question is what better choice for unique oddity: JKK or Prets?

IF (if!) there are unique oddity only accessible for one of this 2 factions.

Don't mind :)

This guy also went JKK for his attemps to collect all oddities so it's probably the best :

You can get an insect repellant from the Coil Spider level in the Gauntlet. You won't always get that level though, so you might miss out on that oddity

JKK are the best. If you join them it makes it easy to steal the tri monitor street receiver blueprint out of their base. If you join someone else you have to sneak in through very tight quarters with loads of people so it's extremely hard.
Praetorian are also okay since joining them makes stealing the sword handle from their base easier. But stealing it is a lot easier than stealing the blueprint from JKK.
Coretech suck and have no interesting oddity in their base since you can get the coretech pamphlet in another area, so don't bother with them.

True, except I'd say getting the sword handle is easy for everyone. TNT is op.

Coretech does have a cybernetic module in their base, but it requires stealth to get and there are other places to get it.

The JKK section of the sewers opens up for the other two factions with the warehouse quest, so getting the insect repellent is easy.

There's another area with about 10 Coil Spiders. The gate that you go through on the South side of the near West area of sewers for the 2nd JKK quest will auto unlock even if you are not doing the JKK quest line.

Anyone can access that area once they progress some in their own oligarch quests.

JKK is best. It's almost impossible to steal their unique oddity from 2nd floor without having a lot of stealth and patience. Coretech's oddity you can find on other place, so no loss here. Praetorian actually is relatively easy to steal, one of the reason for which is that you can gain access to their floor with oddity without joining them (just do it before you join any other faction). So, with only oddities in mind, jkk is the best one to join.

Interesting, i still like the corretech merchant better though.

Oh ♥♥♥♥. Are you locking yourself out by getting employed by one company? Dammit >:(

Guess i am stuck with coretech...
Serendipitous Aug 6, 2019 @ 12:35pm
well, if you are VERY good of sneaking, you can still attempt to get those oddities. Or you can go full murder hobo on them. Also, it's not like they are necessary.

It's more like you are getting unique oddity for joining the corporation (and if you are decent at sneaking), but coretech's oddity is not unique and praetorian's is relatively easy to get (still you would need high stealth or thinking creatively).

You still need to join one of them to progress the game anyway, so it's not like you are locking yourself out of something important except one or two oddity. But you can gain access to the first floor (and second for praetorian) to all three if you ask for it before joining any
