SGS Helping Eels Persuasion Check?

So get this.

I used a save where I had persuasion 55 and somehow passed the persuasion check along the lines of not trusting the Protectorate.

Reloaded because I realized Jack Quicksilver went away and I didn't do his quest, got the Armadillo part handed in first. and without Gorski, not only does the "I don't want to get involved with politics" not work BUT ALSO every skill check on the persuasion skill check. And by that point I was up a level with 60 persuasion.

Does anyone have the stat check for each per check? Is the check randomized?

I believe you'll find your answers on the wiki. It says the auto-pass only works in versions prior to 1.0.3, but I do not believe that is correct.

Yeah and I read that, specifically at the sectionw here it states:

"or if you take an anti-Protectorate stance because you consider the Eels a less serious threat (50 effective skill required). Talk to Tanner the next morning after the meeting and you'll see if you succeeded. If not, "

I have 61 in this save yet Tanner decides not to help. Which means either the stat check is pushed up if Gorsky left or that Gorsky leaving invalidates all stat checks and that the proper way to "game" the quest was to ask for SGS assistance prior to handing in the Armadillo piece.

You can pass the check after Gorsky leaves. I just did it with 80 so I know that's enough. Not sure what the exact number is though.
The numbers on the wiki are pretty ancient so I guess they've changed since then? That sidequest did get revised a little. Like it says, there used to be an auto pass option (that didn't even make sense since it only worked after Gorsky left when it should have been the opposite). The devs must have changed them when they stopped it working.
You can use heartbreaker leather/boots to get a free +20 persuade. Should be enough. Unless you're wearing them already.

Ah hmm. I think the wiki needs updating then where the option of outright hating the Protectorate requires a far higher persuasion check. I can't pass that check so I defaulted to the middle-option where you go on about how it puts SGS in a better trading position.

Only needed to perform the quest so that I may have a lootstack for financing my gas grenade / incendiary grenade / chem traps.

I passed the 50 pers check with 52 p. skill or so for the Anti-Protectorate stance no problem not so long ago.

Nope removed it. I entered the chat naked. I have no idea whats going on in that chat's stat check.One theory is that Hard mode makes stat checks well harder and puts an invisible increment of 20+ per requirement, as I've done this exact quest with a tincan/assault rifle build on normal. Its weird.

Not looking forward to passing (or failing) the persuasion check to save Buzzer at Rails Crossing. Current build can't run DC without full alliance with Faceless I think.

There is a difference with Gorsky being there or not, but I can't put a number to it.
