Expedition Supplies
Talking to Briggs, he tells me that:
Sec-soldiers: 32
Ammo: Quickly diminishing
High-tech: Extremely low
Meds: Extremely low
Jet skis: Very good

I never even gave any of my supplies to the muties or pirates when given the option, I could only imagine how muc worse the situation would be otherwise. I've already fended off 3 or 4 native attacks. The professor is telling me I should check out Abyssal Station Zero Elevators. I haven't exactly been rushing, but I've only been going to the places the professor has been sending me to, nothing else. Am I close enough to the end that I can push through or is the only chance of finishing the dlc with Aegis require you to completely genocide the native population?

I finished the DLC without ever stepping foot in any Native zones. I think I dealt with exactly 4 native raids on the camp.

If you plan to ignore the natives, better hurry your exploring. Abyssal Station Zero is your last stop and the end of the expedition.

In fact, reaching the station and going to take the acorn will take like 10 minutes if you brutalize the last lemurian. Should not take much more than an hour otherwise.

In between making this thread and now, I found and hauled the mines to the base and started wiping out the natives. Got attacked again once I cleared one of their villages and successfully defended the base for like the 5th time. Somehow though, my supply situation hasn't changed. Time to wipe out the rest of them now!

It should probably stay a dirty little secret, but as soon as you tell the professor about that place your supplies suddenly vanish, probably to kick your ass into doing it soon and adding "tension". I had it happen to me when I had very good most things just moments before.

But yes go murder them natives. You also get to (have to) murder women and the elderly while they run and scream for the immersion.

The listed amounts of remaining supplies will never go up no matter what. You are on a timer to finish the main quest. The only thing you can affect is how quickly they run out.

Should be fine at this point, already found the sub and had the ferryman tow it on over for me. I was just spooked by what Paragon mentioned. I went from very good/moderate or whatever supplies to extremely low and thought I was done for by the next attack. Kind of disappointed you can't radio Briggs or Marcus or someone to pick up any of the various supplies around the map. The pirate base had plenty of ammo and food, even the health center had medicine and bandages left, the camp should really be able to use this stuff.

I recommend as first action to attack natives (after West depot). This way you only get 2 native attacks including one at very start.

Make peace with pirates after kidnapping (need diplomacy or maybe intimidation).

After natives are wiped and pirates at peace you can take your time.

I did the exact opposite. I immediately went and killed all the pirates, and never touched the homeland of the Natives so that they would keep attacking. That way I could build up a nice supply (75 of them) of Vitality Powder, which I much prefer over Adrenaline.

I dunno if the supplies dwindling means that the expedition is going to fail. My take on that is that they decrease as you explore each Lemurian facility, expressing the time that Aegis spent in the Black Sea. Also, the merchants at the camp (Marcus and the northener) have less for sale the less supplies the expedition has.

No, they will run out if you take too long and you fail the main campaign mission.

I'm confused, people say the expansion is 50 hours long or so, and yet you're on a timer to finish the main quest, does this mean that the expedition side quests are doable after the main quest of expedition?

I made a similar post on the sub of underrail, apparently you only need the ferryman to finish the expansion.

Isn't this counterproductive that you can join the pirates but still have to worry on your former employers' supplies?

I guess I used a poor choice of words. I only meant that you can fail the main mission, on behalf of the expedition crew. If too much time goes by, they run out of supplies, you fail THEIR quest, and they leave.

You can still stick around and do whatever on your own.
Morgian Sep 24, 2019 @ 1:02pm
You can still recover the acorn, even if the expedition vanished under waves of natives.

What people mean by 50 hours is that the DLC can occupy you for that long. The expedition is kinda your guide into the area, provides you with a shop and a little cash, and your first jet ski. You can do the DLC without their guidance, but for the first visit better stick with them.
dgresevfan Sep 24, 2019 @ 1:24pm
Is this DLC as crappy and unfun as everyone is making it sound? I do not like the idea of a time critical quest in a game where so many areas are large and empty and you have no real idea where to go much of the time.

I've not started the expedition yet and I'm afraid to because I have no idea how to avoid failing miserably.
