Fishing
Hello,

Where can I find a fishing rod? I tried looking it up but the only mention of where I can find one is at the junkyard, by stealing one. My character's stealth is not good so this option won't work for me.

Also which bait works best? I hear you can use anything but supposedly hopper meat is quite good but does that work for all fish?

You can buy it at most hunting stuff shops. You don't need any bait. Different locations provide different kinds of aquatic creatures. The rarest Ghostfish or whatever it is called can be caught in the most north-eastern part of Core City sewers in a 6 tile pond at the end of the tunnel. The chance to catch it is low so you'd have to reload a few times.

Ah okay, I guess I got unlucky with my hunting npc then as he didn't have any rods available when I looked last.

Is fishing useful/profitable? I am merely doing it for that fishing quest that Geezer gives you, to get more xp.

If you intend to craft a lot of your own medicines and drugs, it can be pretty useful. Some of the simplest (and most generally useful) stuff won't need fishing, so you can make your advanced health hypos, adrenaline, morhpine, and psi boosters without ever fishing. But several of the more advanced chems/meds require ingredients that you're going to need to fish for.

Cool beans, this will work well for my character then.

Thanks for the answers mates.
