How do I get past the damn bear!?

After you pick berries and the bear attacks, how the hell do you get past it? You can't shoot it. I tried waiting it out, but it seemed to take forever so I finally let myself be eaten... There seems to be no way out but to get eaten. Ideas, anyone?

For the on foot parts of the game the controllers are slightly different. If you're using keyboard and mouse you can shoot with either the arrow keys or the mouse (using the cursor to aim). If you're using an Xbox Controller the right stick shoots. There's a little pop up showing the controls the first time you get to the on-foot section, but it's easy to miss if you're tapping the space bar at that part. Sorry!

Hey sparsevector, I did indeed miss that little tidbit (playing with an Xbox controller). Thanks for the info. BTW, I met you at Digipen when you were showing off the game, one or two years ago. I laughed my ass off and told you I'd buy the game when it came out on Steam. And I did! Love it! Keep up the good work.

you can use the mouse to aim and shoot,.. right after that bear, there are like 20 bears that come after you

Or the bear will alert a horde of flesh eating squirrels
