People like you are the problem why there are so many regulation about video games and the internet, because you allow your children play horror games like this or worse.

Regulations isn't about horror games, is about nudity and sex.

Stop that, I know you don't want to wrong, but you are, just accept that, grow over it and deal with it. You want your child to be a weak ♥♥♥♥♥ man-baby in the future? Fine, just don't cry on the internet asking why your child can't do ♥♥♥♥ , just remember YOU are the reason why.

Imagine defending weakness as a good thing, I bet you romanticize fatness too, right? I bet you teach your kids that being fat is ok and they should accept fat people as normal, right? Anyways, I recommend you play Shipwrecked 64 and Catastrophe Crow, you'll immediately understand the difference between Indigo Park and true horror games.

The only think I'd take pause on with giving this one to a kid the same age I'd give something like FNAF is that there's a fairly gory death scene towards the end of the chapter with visible dismemberment

The kind of thing that would easily give it a Mature badge if it was ESRB rated.
Yes, the literal only thing.

I mean, Indigo Park wasn't scary per say but as an adult it was absolutely uncanny and atmospheric. More of a hair raising/tingling tension than screaming horror kinda thing.

No, it's not. It seems you don't watch truly horrifying things, that's why you say Indigo Park is uncanny, it's not. If you watch some YouTube series like Don't Hug Me I'm Scared, Salad Fingers, Mandela Catalog, Meat Farms, Greylock, Walten Files, The Smile Tapes, I could go on and on, just search for "Analog Horror".

How about games, then? Games you have a lot of that are WAY scarier than Indigo Park, FNAF Series, and Poppy Playtime, or Garten of Banban, those are, literal, scary games made FOR children, no adult in the planet should be scared by them... One thing is jumpscare, jumpscare will get, literally, everyone because they are designed for that, a sudden sound, with something popping up in your face.

But there are games that makes you feel FEAR, games that makes you think about if you should keep playing or no, games that makes ADULTS feel fear... The truth is... Parents protect children so much these days that they don't even know what is true horror or true scare, they think someone calling their child "he" or "she" is already mind shattering.

Indigo Park is nothing, it's an awesome game for children, similar to FNAF, Garden of Banban, and Poppy Playtime. Those games are good scare for children, shouldn't scare adults, and (if you want a healthy child instead a fragile one) you should let your children to play those games.

Just one last point... I bet mothers these days don't even read scary stories for their children.

Hmmm? My point was this is not a scary game to start with, they're clearly going for exploration, atmospheric, uncanny, and humorous over scary/horror. In that regards they did a pretty good job, even for an adult audience. Sure, a kid could get scared from some of the effects, but I don't see that as the developers goal.

IIRC they even updated their steam page to put emphasis on the fact that it's an "immersive first-person exploration game" as opposed to your standard mascot horror.

To be honest, my judgment could be foggy because of what I do. I play horror games all the time, I watch horror series, I access dark web to see gore things, uncensored things... Maybe I'm too used to horror stuff, OR maybe over protecting parents are making their children weak, OR could be both.

Agree with you, Indigo Park IS a game for children, and you should definitely let your child play it, I just think they should have a censor option for Mollie's death, besides that specific and unique part, everything else is 100% ok.

The only swearing I know of is right at the end. If you find a "hard" to get collectible and ask Rambly about it, he plays a recording of two people talking and one of them says ass.
As above said there is some heavy gore right at the end.
Only one innuendo I know of is at the start with the train ride. Where Rambly asks....I forget his name to come out of his shell and he replays with " Why don't you COME into my shell instead?"
Your brain is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ busted

I already think if the kid is allowed to play games like poppy playtime it doesn't matter anymore as to gore is worse then swearing for a childs brain, so bad parenting point in general anyway
Wrong. Swearing is worse than gore. Gore is typically over the top and non realistic, while cussing is a real thing that kids pick up on early on. Poppy Playtime is not that gory either.

Absolutely not. Normalizing gore in ANY form is a giant chunk of why the world has become so desensitized to traumatic events like school shootings and genocide.

In the meantime, no one gets hurt if I say ♥♥♥♥.

No, people got desensitized to traumatic events like school shootings and genocide is because it's happening all the time, and it's showing on television all the time, nothing to do with gore. You don't see television showing gore, but yet, people got sensitized, which means gore has nothing to do with it.

It depends on how graphic is the gore. And no. Isn't about being gore, is about not over protecting. Do you know what's more interesting? Doesn't matter how over protecting the parents are, the child always learn how to curse, do you know why? Because he's living in a society, the only way he won't learn something is to lock him in the basement and never let him go outside.

Because 99% of people can tell the difference between fantasy and real life. This applies to gore. However swearing is something that is much easier to do and apply to irl.

1. There are absolutely 0 explict content

2. Game contains gore all though kids nowdays cope with such stuff

3. Language: I have only watched a full gameplay on some Youtuber's channel as I don't have time to play the game but right now I haven't really heard any profanity and if there is then the chances are very rare

Personally: I'd say the game may not be suitable in general for those who are under 14

Also the community is opposing any explict art above all.

Thanks goodness, theres still people who can reasonate.
If people would really turn into psychopaths for seeing something in a screen (like the paid psychologists of these trash talk shows say), all of us would be dead or killing someone

This is the same process of thought that journalists and congress people have when they think "That school shooting happened BECAUSE the kid played violent video-games... But it's fine to watch violent movies, it's fine to see violent news, it's fine to experience violence on a day-to-day basis at their street and school, it's fine to endure parents fighting and confronting each other in their house..."

This is stupid. Violent games don't make people violent, the same way gore games don't make people psychopaths, the same way swearing doesn't make your kid a rapper. You CAN show gore and swearing to child, as long as YOU (as the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ parent) knows how to teach him about what right and wrong, and what's real and not.
