Where are the save files located?

i too have the same problem! I had to reinstall the game and it doesn't read the file, but it is in the right folder.

I am not finding this location. Ive searched these forums and found 2 different locations.

Hi, I found it in there ;)

\Steam\SteamApps\common\How to Survive\ObjetCommun\objects\props\save\compiled

- Save.cmh
- Save_Save.mat
- Save_Save_Lumiere.mat

3 files are there.

None of those worked for me. Mas71, I thought you'd found it, but check the modified dates in that folder. Mine were 8 months old, and I'd played it just minutes before. I don't want you to back it up, and then not have your saves.

I found the correct save location. Check (Install Drive):\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\(user id - should just be one unless you share PC)\250400\remote. You will then see folders for nina, abby, etc... I hope this helps everyone.
