Fire Proof/Asbestos Boots

I have been searching for answers for awhile now and I feel like my game is just glitched. I have gone through the gas area 7 times now, searching every crevice and even the whole island over and over for these asbestos...I ended up getting 2 in one spot but need a 3rd.

What am I doing wrong or am I really glitched?

I feel like making a video to post to prove I have searched this place thoroughly... Hopefully someone out there has an answer to this!

You got to find "old boots" in the middle room of the map after you talk to the guy top of the map. Then go to the first gas island get into the gas fog with Wind Blower( Handy grip, jerrycan with gasoline, long tube, motor engine, fan of boat, tool kit) to find asbestos, which is a stone we can find in toxic earth area. Find about three or two of asbestos, you can combine them into a fireproof clothes, then combine it with the old boots you found before, da la!! Beware that boots is not actually 100% fireproof, if you stand in lava more than 5 seconds you still get hurt. BTW, all the items you need are in the same gas island where you accepted mission.

From where you first enter the gas go straight to the right for the first. Then go down under the bridge and in the bottom right is the second (pretty sure on this one). Then top right near the lava is the final Asbestos. The boots are in the building where you first meet the lady on the first island.

Combine the 3 Asbestos to get a new item then combine those with the boots.

I have the boots, I have 2 stones but I can't figure out how I can't find a third one. I've done so much searching in case I have a bugged game that I know how to make them and such but I need that 3rd because I can't combine the 2/fabric to the boots.

I'm going to try to look in those specific locations but I swear I have been through it several times looking in every spot in the gas. I'm hoping my partner didn't have a 3rd one and threw it away somewhere.

I was also wondering if the co-op messed it up somehow. I should've mentioned it. He has been losing items randomly during gameplay. More recently than before but maybe we didn't notice before.

I am finding no "stones" in any of the gas.

They are there. I ended up running through the lava to get more stones but still missing one for my friend to be able to play with me.

ive just finished the game yesterday
it's actually all there, just find a little lump of rock inside gas place

if youre screwed up, you can just delete the save game (map save not character save)
find your character name folder (mine's kenji) go there and delete map no 6/7 (maybe 7, didnt really check which one)
you can actually get more item this way (including quest item :p)
