Where to find reel

My friend and I are on the 4th island and only found 2 reels. Does anyone have advice on where they usually spawn?

Checking forums and discussions and the average group of people say near safe houses but i have yet to find any :/ will aadd more info when i find out

People also say there is a chance of getting it from zombies so get ready freddy and get killing

I haven never had reel drop from zombies, but you can find it around stuff where is makes sense. like where you find the bow recipe on the first island on the north safehouse, and the place where you find the recipe to the fishing rod.

as flutterderp writes theres a few around near safehouses, not necessarily inside them.

however if you both are trying to make 2 bags each for extra inventory, turn in the monkey quest for bags, and both make a bow and a fishing rod, i think you will run out.

im not sure thought, i dont use a bow or rod, as food is plenty without fishing, so ive ever only needed 3 in total.
