Jazzpunk: Director's Cut

Jazzpunk: Director's Cut

View Stats:
DLC "in library" but not accessible in game
OSX 10.9.5 // Macbook Pro Mid-2012

Jazzpunk is updated to most recent Director's Cut version.

DLC has been purchased, downloaded, and Steam has noted it as "In Library".

Unfortunately, none of the new content is reflected in-game. There is no "Extras" option in the Main Menu as I've seen in other players screenshots. I've deleted Jazzpunk and reinstalled, yet the problem persists. What's a lad to do? Thanks for any help, looking forward to experiencing Flavor Nexus :D

OH, let me know if you need more details from me. Also, sorry this is not posted in the pinned Technical thread, I figured this deserved it's own new discussion.

its not just you alot of MAC users have been having problems with the dlc too

Normally, with DLC's, you have to uncheck the box for it and then check it again so that the system will install it properly. Try that.

People on MAC and LINUX: the flavour nexus is not available on those platforms yet, so the reason its not currently working is that is Does Not Exist Yet. Once those platforms are uploaded , your DLC will work.

Conspiracy.

It's working for me. Im running 10.11 on a macbook air (early 2015). If you right click on Jazzpunk in your library and go to properties->Local Files->Browse Local Files, you should have a folder called "mac" thats about 2.78gb and also a "mac-flavourNexus" folder, do you have that?

You can try starting a new game, then press ~ and type "clearcache", this could help to remove old variables that are blocking the extras section, I think this will nuke your saves though. Let me know if this works as it may lead to a patch for others. Thanks!

I've repeatedly uninstalled and reinstalled the game, and it continues to show the DLC as Not Installed, and does not show up in the game. I've tried unchecking and rechecking it, quitting and restarting Steam, and I also tried the "clearcache" with no luck. This is running MacOS 10.12.5; are there any fixes forthcoming for Flavor Nexus for the Mac?

I just put up an update, try downloading that and let me know if that fixes it for you. (And to your question, yes, if we need to make another patch to get it working we will )

Thanks for replying so quickly. Still no luck, I'm not sure if it's been auto-updating since I've deleted and reinstalled it several times which would have applied any updates anyhow. If it helps at all, I purchased it through the Steam website and not the application, but it does show up properly as  in my library. [i.imgur.com]

However, when I look at the DLC, it shows not installed and  there is no "acquired" date. [i.imgur.com] Thanks for your help!

EDIT: I just installed it on my iMac as well where it was never previously installed, and the same problem exists.

Ok good to know. What do you see when you do what Guinan suggested?

"It's working for me. Im running 10.11 on a macbook air (early 2015). If you right click on Jazzpunk in your library and go to properties->Local Files->Browse Local Files, you should have a folder called "mac" thats about 2.78gb and also a "mac-flavourNexus" folder, do you have that?"

Also if you right click on Jazzpunk in your library and then properties->DLC if you click on the install checkbox does it ever change to checked, or does it always stay unchecked?

Thanks!

Yes, I checked in the install location as he described, there is no mac-flavourNexus folder. There is only a "mac" folder which contains the "Jazzpunk.app" file and "steam_appid.txt"

Clicking on the properties->DLC shows the same result as in the main screen. It shows "Install" as checked, but "State" as "Not Installed." Nothing changes when I check and uncheck it. I've also noticed that even if I uncheck "Install", quit Steam, then restart Steam, the "Install" checkbox has reverted back to being checked, but it still hasn't been installed.

Hope that made sense :)

Ok so I made some changes, try restarting steam and/or right click on Jazzpunk->properties->Local Files->Verify Integrity of Game Files . You may also need to toggle the install button located at Jazzpunk->properties->DLC. Let me know if that gets it working for you
Thanks!

It's working! Didn't actually have to do any of these things, Steam was already running and it is now showing as installed. Opened the game and sure enough it now shows up in the Extras menu. Thanks for your work! Also, awesome game. Made me laugh a number of times :)
