Who beat the Final Boss?

Anyone here managed to kill it yet? Share some tips if you do, i've pummeled the guy for 10 minutes straight and still not killed him. My best so far has been reaching him with 7 credits left.

Did you beat him? Do you only need to shoot the main part of the brain or something else? I've been trying to kill him for a couple of hours, but he seem to regenerate HP

Just shoot the brain. He is very sturdy, but you can abuse the slug escape techinique pretty well in the final battle.

please elaborate, what slug escape tech? do you mean the invincibility frames for it?

Yeah. When you flip out of tank you are invinsible momentarily
you can use it to avoid the attacks.

That's pretty much the only way to beat that boss without dying.

When you start the fight you will be inside of the Metal Slug. It is a good idea to not let the slug lose all of its health, because you get invincibility frames when you exit it. You can use these frames to dodge Rootmars' attacks.
