[FIX] For those who can't launch the game anymore, READ IT !

Hey guys, my friend coudn't play the game anymore since the last update.
It seems that I could fix his game by telling him to delete ONE file.

You have to go into your AppData folder, and find the Mslug3 folder.
In it, you have a UserDefault.xml. This is the file where the game keeps your user parameters like resolution, scanlines etc.

Delete this file, and launch the game. Metal Slug 3 will launch in Windowed mode (by default).

Try it and tell me if this works for you as well.

Are you sure you weren't in the Roaming Folder ?

If you're running on Windows Vista/7 (don't know about 8), you can find mslug3 folder in AppData/local, or AppData/Roaming.
Be sure you can see hidden files.

It's not working for me. I deleted "UserDefault.xml" already but the game just won't launch.

I tried everything from what the forum said:

- Open steam and the game by 'Run as Admin'
- Reinstall the game
- Verify the game cache
- Reinstall DirectX
- Repair al the vcredist
- Delete the UserDefault.xml

And I restarted my PC EVERY single time and the game still won't launch ever since I updated it!!!
