There are ways to remap the controls with Steam or third-party-tools though.
Steam: Depending on your controller you just have to activate the appropriate input assistant in the general controller settings of Steam, this allowes you to change controls for specific games and save those layouts or share them with other. Just Shift+Tab into the overlay of Steam to change the mapping then. Be aware that for Playstation controllers the input assistant will render the right analog stick to an 8-way control instead of 360 degree (happens only for AAC), but this can be fixed also by remapping the stick correctly.
Non-Steam: Using XInput emulators like InputMapper or DS4Windows are giving you the ability to remap controls for any game out there as well while running those tools. You can directly remap buttons in the tool then.
Did you checked the accessibility options of AAC? There is an auto-fire option there that makes it unnecessary to push down the right trigger permanently. Means you could just swap L and R trigger with the above mentioned methods and you should be able to play this game more comfortable.
I've got a Cyborg (their keypad with a joystick) and that's why I also want rebindable keys - my Cyborg's joystick is usually bound to IJKL, not WASD, and I have to go into the software to change that any time I want to play AAC or any other game I can't rebind. I'd also like sensitivity options for first-person, but that's less important.
