Skip Levels..
This was a great game for a short while, but then I got stuck early on at a level so that's it.. game done!!!

Why can't we have the option to skip a level, it's not like it's important to a story line? OK we won't have the satisfaction of completing the game or getting all the achievements but the alternative is wasting time/money on a game that can't be progressed very far.

This has happened to me in other games resulting in no more purchases from those devs which is a shame for me as I know I'm missing out on some potentially good games & they're missing out on my money.

A note for all those about to spam "GIT GUD", just bare in mind some of us may have a legitimate physical/mental reason for not being as good or as clever as you ! :steamsad:

Hi there,

A way for players to skip levels and come back to them later was something that we debated in the original development cycle. In the end we decided not to implement it because of how our levels build off of each other. If you get "stumped" in one level, chances are, you'll encounter the same problem down the line and be frustrated that you can't continue.

That being said, an argument in favour of accessibility was something we hadn't considered and we definitely want to try and accomodate our players and fans.

We won't be able to implement something in the short term, but we're going to discuss this as we get our expansion ready for release and we may be able to address it in that patch. In the meantime, if you want assistance solving a level there's a Let's Play in the "Guides" section and some additional videos on YouTube that may help.

If you're interested in talking more about this, or perhaps a suggestion that you would want us to explore in being able to deal with this, send me an email at david@lifegoesongame.com. We would love to chat!
Thankyou for taking the time & trouble to respond, my comment is not a derogatory criticism of your game as I think it's absolutely great. I love the whole concept of the game, the graphics & sfx are good. The puzzles are challenging but perectly solvable given time to think them through with the added challenge of trying to meet/beat the targets.

It's because the game is so good that my frustration at not being able to enoy more of it led to my comment. As I alluded to in my original post, some of us may have genuine reasons for not being able to progress some levels. It is not neccessarily a case of not being able to solve the puzzle because as you state there are often solutions available through guides & Youtube.

I hope you can appreciate that I do not wish to discuss my personal situation either through a forum or with a stranger, but suffice to say that some days my hand/eye coordination is not as I'd like, other days it can be near normal & then I return to try & complete missed levels/tasks. If I can't complete them at least I can progress to the next level & get some sort of satisfaction knowing that I at least tried.

I appreciate your comment that skipping a level still may still mean getting stumped further down the line & frustrated again; but from a players point of view at least they get to play some more & therefore get better value for their money as well as getting to enoy more of your great product. I for example won't be buying the expansion pack as I will get so little from it as regards value for money not because it's a bad game (which it certainly isn't)

I would like to re-iterate that this is not a derogatory criticism as I have come across this problem many times (which is why I have so few platformers in my library). It's more of a request to consider letting players enjoy more of the game whilst letting the more fortunate & indeed more skillful players enjoy all of it.

Many thanks for your time & congratulations on a great little game, just wish I could enjoy more of it, best regards.
