How to actually play: Versus Mode

For anyone trying to gain access to versus, but not knowing how to play; the default Versus Mode map, did not work for me. To play a versus match, simply find a map you want to play, then plug in your controller. After this, hit escape and spawn in a rabbit, if he begins fighting your character, it's working so far. Next, hit C to stop them from fighting. Now double click the surrounding entity box of the new rabbit you spawned, hit CTRL+SHIFT+P and the entity box should turn green, (meaning this is a playable character). Finally, just click Rabbot, and there you go! Have fun in the game!

2 questions. 1. Does it have to be a gamepad or can it be a keyboard? 2. Does this require 2 people?

Yes it requires 2 people and yes the second person has to use a gamepad

This is a bug. We have a potential fix for this problem in our daily builds of the game. To access these builds, find the game in your steam library, right click on Overgrowth in the list of games, click "Properties", click the "Betas" tab, and change the selected branch from "NONE" to "internal_testing". Wait for the game to sync, and then play.

Let me know if internal_testing fixes this problem for you, or if you still have the black screen problem.

There is no other betas. there is not internal testing

Does this still work? When I click a green npc box or a white one and press CTRL+SHIFT+P nothing happens. I'm making a map and want the feature character to be Janner, but I can't seem to get it working.

I'm on a mac, and it turned green when I did CMD+SHIFT+P. Might want to try some different options instead of "CTRL" and see if they work for you.

(I'd try it myself but I need friends to bring thier controllers to do it)
