Yeah.

That's the one I have linked you to.

Read the entire post to fin out why it's called unofficial/leaked. Technically, there is no official alpha release, because it's an alpha and alphas generally don't get released. Released products are supposed to be complete and working. Alphas are not.
It's all semantics, really. The point is, this is the version you are looking for.
well, if i have 208 already in steam then...wouldnt that confuse the SUM launcher?

You can specify where the game is installed in the settings of the SUMLauncher. For Steam,, you just select that the game is installed through Steam. If you have a different version somewhere on your computer, you can just deactivate that setting and manually select where that other version is installed. The SUMLauncher will then install custom content there and add the changes needed to run the altered main menu.
ok....(thank you for your time by the way...)
is it normal for it to literally take 44 hours for it to download on windows XP in firefox
im not joking it seriously says 44 HOURS

What version are you downloading?
The direct download should mainly rely on your internet connection.
The torrent can be a lot faster, but only if there are enough people seeding it.
im downloading 207
my internet connection is really fast, but i cant get torrents
...isnt there a way on steam i can just keep going back? or no

I'm not talking about the alpha version.
I mean, what download are you trying to download. The direct download or the torrent?

And no. There is no way to get a207 on Steam. Steam only allows you to go back to the previous alpha and that is a208 right now.

Just tried out both.

The torrent works fine, but there are obviously almost no seeders. So that one would take a few hours. I have never had an issue with torrents crashing my entire system. That must be something on your behalf. What torrent program are you using?

The direct download would have taken about 40 minutes on my system. If it fails to download that is most likely an issue with your internet connection.
hmmmm i was using utorrent
idk why but everytime i tried to check up on it the hours went up to days, and then one week.
i think my operating system is like super ancient
the only reason i need 207 is because of a certain mod i wanted to try,but its incompatible with 209 and 208. i tried to find in the SUM launcher (and i couldnt) i tried to manually install it (messed it up) so i had to reinstall it.

I am using Deluge, but I have used utorrent before to download alphas as torrents and it worked just fine. Of course, with so few seeds the torrent is kind of out of the question right now.
The direct download should work, though. Check your download speed and see if it really is as high as you thin it is.

I'm guessing you mean Last's Blood Mod.

Mods that change scripts cannot be installed using the SUMLauncher yet. It is planned for the future, as is the ability for normal users to add their own creations, but those features are not yet in development by the guys from the community working on he project.
Never try to install mods like that on alphas they have not been updated for (unless you are trying to update them yourself). They are pretty much bound to be incompatible. Make backups of the files that are replaced. Last's Blood Mod usually has the original files included in the download, but some mods don't. And if you are trying to add a mod to an unsupported alpha version the downloaded backups obviously won't help.
yeah...i was aiming torwards the flying mod, but anyway
i have downloaded utorrent onece before and it did work just great. i uninstalled it and got it again, and it decided it act up so...i tried to retry the direct download. it took like 5 milliseconds but it said its damaged or corrupted, so i tried again then it said it failed
tried again, took 3 days and failed
