Constance, one of the developers for Overgrowth (the only one atm) is working on new campaign updates. current plan is end of this year.

I don't think any game with a solid single-player (that doesn't require an online connection) can be really considered “dead,” regardless of any potential updates…

And yes, there's been mentions of a potential extra route in Therium-2 being worked on (currently marked with a disabled portal where protag says something in the lines of “Maybe some other time”).
