Game will not start, Mac, alpha 225

Hi all,
I recently redownloaded overgrowth, alpha 225 on steam, and it does not open. I recieve no error message and the game says that it is running and then stops after syncing. I have already tried verifying the game cache. The MacOS that I am running is 10.8.5. Any help would be appreciated.

i wanted to refund the game til it was more improved, but steam wouldn't let me since i had the game about 2 1/2 years before the refund system existed

There is no option to send any bug report once the game crashes. No error message appears on the screen.

We are unable to give refunds for purchases made through Steam, I don't think you'll be able to get a refund since they have the 2 week thing, but I hope you'll be able to!

send the bug report in an email to [e-mail] and make sure you include the "hwreport" file from your "Macintosh HD/Users/YourUsername/Library/Application Support/Overgrowth/Data/" folder if you're using Mac, and the "logfile" from your "Macintosh HD/Users/YourUsername/Library/Application Support/Overgrowth/" folder.

This is a very bad bug, so hopefully we'll be able to figure this out soon!

hello there! i know its a little late but i have a similiar problem..
i bought and installed the game yesterday but it won´t run after clicking "play"
i thought maybe someone found a simple soloution after all the time. using mac btw

I have found the game sometimes takes a long time to launch if I try to run it through Steam, while Steam is online. So running in offline mode tends to work better sometimes.

I have also found that sometimes when running it through Steam it can get hung up permanently, and I have to open Activity Monitor to kill it.

Not sure if either of those things will help you, but worth a shot.
