I just dont understand why sound in split-screen is so hard to make in this game, when literally every other game in gaming history has sound for both players when doing split-screen.
I am not trying to be rude, I just really dont get why..
On the 2# - I would still prefer to be able to control the camera in shared-screen (optionable in the options menu) maybe even lock it to a certain angle and place.
And please - 3# make coop arena a game mode - it is already done with a mod :)
Thanks for the suggestions, but we cannot really do them. I love the game and I want to keep working on it, but Wolfire as a studio simply cannot work on this game forever. As said in the OP of this tread, development is "on pause" right now, but I think we basically mean it this time.
If you would like to have a big discussion on why, come to the discord :)
"2019/03/24 20:16:01 [w][__]:threaded_sound_wrapper.cpp: 617: Sound system isn't initialized yet, putting message into the queue."
and
"2019/03/24 20:16:02 [e][__]: Soundtrack.cpp:1284: Unable to stream data from file."
Is this the problem causing the crash? If so, is there a quick fix to this?
Not sure. I haven't checked my email yet today to see if you sent us an email, but I think I'd have to look at the crash dump to tell you why it is crashing. Zip up that folder, and email it to us. Here's instructions: https://wiki.wolfire.com/index.php/How_To_Report_a_Bug_in_Overgrowth
That error message ("might need to update drivers") is just a guess about what the problem is. It could be that your computer is also too old to play the game, or that you have some software installed that is conflicting with the game's ability to find your gaming GPU.
If you want more help with this, please email tech support, include the full text of that error message, and attach your log file and hardware report: https://wiki.wolfire.com/index.php/How_To_Report_a_Bug_in_Overgrowth
Receiver is a second game that you get when you buy Overgrowth directly on Steam or Humble Bundle (directly as in outside of a game bundle). Besides the fact that you get it for free when you buy Overgrowth, it is unrelated.
Developers don't really have to approve. We all have to comply with Steam's refund policy.
I approve, though. If this computer can't run the game, that's not really your fault.
Steam's refund policy is here: https://store.steampowered.com/steam_refunds/ - you're limited to 2 hours of play time or 2 weeks, whichever comes first. If you're outside of that time, they have a way to ask for an exception I believe. Probably best to not wait and let it come to that though. Better to get it over with sooner, if you know it definitely won't work on your computer.
Games that aren't running don't do anything but take up space. If they're not currently being run on your computer, they won't interfere with this game running.
If you have less than 15% space free, you should free up some space until you have %15 free. Your OS will slow down or possibly start behaving poorly if you have too little hard drive space.
I'm not sure that's really important in this case though. You probably wouldn't be able to install the game if you were running out of hard drive space.
