What i'm doing then is: jump, hit the wall, make 2 or 3 step and jump again.
Thanks!
Though I don't think I can get past this boat thing. The controls are kind of funky. Especially how rolling seems to work half the time. Shift + movement doesn't seem to work sometimes. Then the dudes can one shot even if I active dodge.
What is worse when the game says roll when down, nothing happens. Like my guy is drunk lol.
Then its just this game. Other games work fine when I use the shift modifier plus other button.
Though I for wall running plus jumping I found the tutorial incorrect.
You don't jump twice. It says you hold jump to wall run, press again to jump.
You press roll. So hold jump to a wall and then hit roll.
there are a lot of different ways to send your little bunny hopping in this game, and most of it is based on momentum.
for instance, there are two ways to achieve a wall jump. you can only get a couple steps into a wall run before gravity inevitably wins out. at that point, you can JUMP again to achieve more hight, or use the crouch command to maintain horizontal momentum.
the tutorials help a little with pointing you in the right direction, but a lot of the enjoyment comes from experimentation and finding more and more efficient ways to do stuff.
as for doing somersaults on the ground, you should be able to use the crouch button whenever you have a bit of momentum or gravity on your side. mess around with it for a bit, maybe you're doing something wrong, or maybe your keyboard is acting up in this particular instance. if you're still having issues, i'd be more than happy to help :)
Hitting roll while wall running for me always sends my bunny jumping from a wall run.
Basically when I was doing this:
Run to Wall > space and hold > wall runs > space again my character just falls.
Where as:
Run to Wall > space and hold > wall runs > shift my character jumps and tucks, which goes at an angle upwards giving some vertical movement.
after more than a couple stepps, you're guy tends to have issues jumping, so it's best to do it earlier than you'd think.
it has it's uses for sure. just mess with it a bit, i'm sure you'll get it working :D
ps. the wall roll jumps were used a LOT in past parkour maps that people made. i recall one where you would bounce back and forth between two walls about a dozen times to reach a ledge lol
