What is GPU Skinning?
Can anyone explain what does it exactly do?

The setting is (ideally) a performance optimization. We have experienced some cases where it causes worse performance, so we made an option to turn it off if it is causing problems. Ideally we wouldn't have the check box and it would always be enabled.

For more specific details on exactly what it does:

> ... In most state-of-the-art graphical engines, the skinning process is done on the GPU thanks to a shader program ...
