If you're a member of the SPF, i believe that receiver should be downloadable from here:

All the links (download and Steam Keys for Overgrowth and Receiver and download link for Low Light Combat) should also be on your download page in your Humble Store Library.

I bought it yesterday on steam :) So the only code on the humble bundle page was the acces to the SPF for me.
I received Receiver (lol) directly on my Steam Library after purchasing Overgrowth, and I didn't noticed it :/ So all the Wolfire bundle works on Steam too :)

@Autious I got Overgrowth from the Humble Freedom Bundle but Receiver never showed up in my library. Going to the link says "You are not authorised to read this forum." ?

I am not sure how the bundle is handled regarding additional content. It's possible that it only comes with Overgrowth.

Regarding access to the SPF, follow the tutorial.

Obviously, if you got it from the bundle, below the line will be relevant for you.

You have to register w/ the SPF. There are two keys for this game. One is the regular steam key you redeem on steam. The other is a special Secret Preorder Forum key. Look at your claimed bundle page to find the 2nd key. It is below all the other keys, and the link to claim it looks a bit different.

kavika,

My friend and I bought the Freedom Bundle back in February, and he got Receiver added to his Steam account when he redeemed Overgrowth, but I only got Overgrowth. Looks like there was some inoconsistency?

See here:

https://www.reddit.com/r/receiver/comments/5u8nxl/uh_this_game_was_randomly_added_to_my_steam/

As well, I contacted Humble Support and got this response:

"Thank you for contacting us here at Humble Support. We're sorry for any confusion. While at one time the game Overgrowth did come with Receiver through how the developer provided the keys for the former's pre-order, this was not intended behavior in the Freedom bundle, and if your friend did receive it this may have been due to a minor glitch or error in Steam's handling of the key or unlocking process. That said, Overgrowth is not intended to come with Receiver unless explicitly stated as such. While we understand this is likely not the answer you wanted, we wish you the best, and hope you'll let us know if there is anything else we can assist you with."

This is a bit disappointing. Was hoping to get this on Steam... Is there still a possibility to get a free copy?

With your Secret Preorder Forum key that you got with the game, you can get a copy of Receiver: http://forums.wolfire.com/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=15610

For instructions on how to register for the SPF, check this link: http://forums.wolfire.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=16422

Right. I think you misunderstand.. I've already registerd for the SPF, and I've now posted in the "Reciever Free" thread on the SPF about this as well.

I realize it's posted there, and it's free, however that's a non-steam, Standalone version of Receiver. What I'm saying is many Freedom Bundle purchasers got the STEAM activated version of the game, while others didn't. I'm a STEAM game collector and was dismayed when I found out some users who purchased the Freedom Bundle got the Steam activation of Receiver while others didn't.

Please see the recent posts on the SPF in the "Reciever Free" thread see my posts regarding this.

Are you sure that you don't have Receiver in your Steam Library ?
I automatically got mine without any notification, just by adding Overgrowth to my Steam Library.

100% positive. It's definitely not there. Added Overgrowth to my library back in Feb from the key provided in the Freedom Bundle, and I definitely cannot install or download Receiver. Store page for Receiver also does not say I own it.

Some people got lucky due to an error on our end.

You already own a copy of the game, so you can play it.

If you would like a copy of the game to collect for your steam library, you can buy it here: http://store.steampowered.com/app/234190/

Fair enough... I'm not a developer, so I won't argue :)

I'm just trying to understand the logic behind giving a game away for free as standalone binaries on SPF vs. just providing the Steam version for free, for those who own Overgrowth, and why it was "just an error" on your end.

I don't feel like I "own" the game unless it's in my Steam library to be honest, that's just a personal OCD thing I guess :P. Adding it to my library as a "non-steam game" doesn't feel the same :P

Does Steam charge developers to generate Steam keys or something? If that's the case, I totally understand. If not, the game is being offered free on SPF anyway, so I'm just curious what difference it makes whether or not a user is provided with the Steam version vs. raw Installer on SPF, and why we can't just have the choice of how we want it.

I'm just trying to understand the reasoning behind this decision :)
