Shadowgrounds cannot be started after exiting.

I have a strange problem. Shadowgrounds cannot be closed. I played Shadowgrounds and exited it from the menu. The game has closed. However, Steam shows me in the library that the game is still running. So I can no longer start it because, according to Steam, it is still running. In the task manager, however, I cannot find a running Shadowgrounds process. When I manually click the .exe in the game folder, I only get the error message that Steam is missing. But I've already restarted Steam and the PC. Any idea?

That sounds very strange, especially since restarting your PC didn't fix it. I recommend verifying the game cache on Steam and seeing if that helps. To do this, right click Shadowgrounds in your Steam library and go to Properties > Local Files > Verify integrity of game files. Reinstalling the game can help, too.
