Sorry to hear you're having problems with our game, but luckily there are a couple of things you can try to solve it.

First I recommend verifying the game cache. You can do this on Steam:

• Right-click on Shadowgrounds in your Steam Library
  
• Click on 'Properties' and choose 'Local Files' tab
  
• Click 'Verify Integrity of Game Files'

If that doesn't help, you might need to install the PhysX legacy drivers add-on. Shadowgrounds is an older game and there are certain files that it might need to run on modern systems. You can find the legacy drivers here: https://www.nvidia.com/object/physx-9.19.0218-driver.html
They work with all graphics cards, even though the legacy drivers were released by NVIDIA.

If the error still occurs, try reinstalling the game.

If none of these helped, please let me know your system specifications and when exactly does the error happen. Please also let me know if it says anything else in the error message.
