I believe that the reason why you have not received the update is related to Steam. You can force the update by right-clicking on the game and selecting properties>installed files>verify game files

How do you use the hotel i got the receptionist but nothing is happening

After placing a office bed to the hotel, customers who come to park and some pedestrians will come to the hotel as customers

I had to reload the game save after getting the hotel set up. Nothing was happening for a full day. After reloading the save game it seems to be working fine.
