Did you verify cache? Did you also check to make sure everything on your PC is running okay? Drivers working well and all that?

If you did all this. Try running the game as admin and see if that helps

I am having this problem too. I ran Windows updates, Video driver updates, Steam client updates. The problem still persists. I also ran as Admin, and still continues.

Suggestions?

Sorry if this is an obvious question, but how do you uninstall the game?

@CaptainCris
1. Go to library
2. Right click on the game
3. Delete all local files

Just a tip for anyone who's having issues with this error in Scribblenauts Unlimited:

"An unhandled exception has occurred. A crash dump has been saved to..."

1.) Download dxcpl.exe from any reputable website, I got mine here: https://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/microsoft_directx_control_panel.html
2.) Right click dxcpl.exe -> Run as Administrator
3.) Go to the Direct3D 9 Tab at the top, then uncheck "Software Only".
4.) Go to the DirectDraw tab at the top, then check "Use Hardware Acceleration"
5.) Click "Apply", then "OK".

The game should launch. Enjoy!

Doesn't work anymore. My dxcpl.exe does not have a DirectX 9 tab nor the Software Only or Use Hardware Acceleration settings. That download doesn't add the tab back or do anything even when I put the downloaded .cpl file in C:/Windows/System32
EDIT: Figured out .cpl files are openable control panel items similar to .exe but even then I don't have the Direct3D 9 tab to disable Software Only setting and Use Hardware Acceleration is already check on DirectDraw.

Sadly no. All I can find is that it sometimes launches and works in specific times, not sure if it's days or hours. But all I can do to access the game is to be lucky.
