Autosave doesn't properly work.
I just spent several hours making a map, didn't save the map manually even once because was counting on the autosave to do its work. Then opened some other maps from workshop to see how other people handled ground elevation, returned to the map i was working on (Open recent > actual map) and the progress was completely gone.

So at least there should be a warning when switching maps about "Wanna save the progress?".

The issue also might be that I saved this map prior in another location, not default one.

And while I'm on it, I think there should be an option to lift either whole terrain or its individual node in order to make the terrain itself more dynamic (I was making big island map and it has both shore and cliffs). Also transition between different terrains should too be an option (if it isn't already and I just don't know how to do that). Because now rocky cliff doesn't connect with grassy mainland in any way.

Hi, sorry!
The autosaves are in a separate folder called "autosaves". The map file you are working on is not overwritten, so that in case of a problem with an autosave your data is not lost. :)

Thanks for your feedback and thanks for the hint. You can currently only raise an entire land plot with or without cliffs. Not individual points. A terrain editor has already been suggested and discussed on my discord. It's on my list.
