Unfortunately I have never tried Dungeondraft, Inkarnate or other programs myself. So it's hard to say.
My tool focuses on user-friendly controls and auto-generated elements and randomness on definable paths and plots. There are paths for roads, stone walls with towers and gates, rivers and so on. For example, you can also simply define an area for a forest or market and trees or market stalls will be placed automatically. Existing objects are taken into account during placement. For example, no trees are placed on a road if the road runs through the forest. Objects such as a ship vary randomly, e.g. in the number of sails or the alignment of the masts.
I think a major difference is that you don't paint things with a brush, but define your map with customizable paths and plots. Of course, you can also place individual objects, add a sqaure/hex grid and adjust the light and weather. For example, the shadows are calculated dynamically and can be adjusted flexibly. You don't have to paint shadows. But you can also activate clouds, fog or a layer of snow and animated snowflakes, for example.
I use 3D. There are no classic layers like in Photoshop or Dungeondraft. The height of the objects can be flexibly adjusted.
My tool is still in Early Access. There are still a lot of good ideas from the community that I would like to implement. :)

I have a few follow up questions which I can probably guess the answer for some of them.
Currently from the pictures and the video on the store page it looks to be mainly "villages! you can create with this. I guess in a future update we will see this expanded to being able to create actual cities with castles, churches, walls, cobblestone roads and what not?
Since Steam Workshop is added, is there any plans to allow people to upload more than just maps, for example custom assets?
Any plans to support virtual tabletops for example "Foundry"?(This is one of the things this tool can not do (YET) as it says on the frontpage)
And for a last question, how feature complete is it currently?

Yes, the Steam Workshop is also planned for custom assets, custom translations and mod support.
You can currently export the created maps as png/jpg/webp with/without hex/square grid in high resolution. You can set the grid position, rotation, grid size, tile size, color, line thickness, height and opacity. There are also templates for digital use and print like A4.
The users use the exported image in e.g. Foundry.
What is not yet available is a VTT export with wall and light information. But this has already been discussed on my Discord and is on my long list.
It's hard to say how complete my tool is. I'm always working on it. I will continue to add features beyond version 1.0. In addition, there are always new ideas, requests and feedback on my discord.
So there is still a lot for me to do. To be honest, I can't tell you when which features will be added. I try to work on it as often as I can in my spare time alongside my full-time job and my family. :)
