A Sorta Comprehensive List of Generally Desired Assets
1) Various bodies of water including ponds, rivers, creeks, pools, as well as textures for smooth or rough waters, boulder strewn, deep, and shallow indicators
2) Beaches with sand, gravel, and rough rocky textures (like what's available with the different roads)
3) Terrain changes that way you can see things like the tavern on top of a mound, or a river cutting through a village in a small or deep ravine
4) Various bridges like shoddy wooden to well constructed stone
5) Mountain or cliff sides as well as cave entrances that are either rough natural caves or carved mines or tunnel entrances
6) More diverse structures for simple village farmsteads to constructed towns with houses and multifamily apartments
7) More diverse ecological options like pines trees, jungle foliage, plains or savanna indicators, rocky mesas and cacti as well as dead trees in various stages of destruction and decay.

To put into perspective, I have a small northern mining town and a small fishing village on a large lake that both have gotten big enough that they've become one medium-sized town together. The mines are in the base of a mountain and the lake is a glacial run-off that leads to a major river. There are farms, a couple bridges to access different entrances to the town, ramshackle homes and constructed townhome-style buildings.

I really like the sculpting tools available that randomly autofill trees or small structures by defining the parameters of area. The drawing style is really crisp but is missing some depth and detail that would be a little more functional to the process of creating nice, variety maps for games like D&D. Thanks so much for this tools so far, it 's definitely really easy to use and intuitive.

1st of all, it's an awesome app. and thank you for it. I'm speaking only on my behalf:
1) More building types: Military buildings, palaces, temples, clock towers etc.
2) More Docks assets: Ships, boats, pier, water etc
3) High ground, hills, mountains etc.
4) Rivers and bridges
These are from the top of my head. Thank you again for this awesome tool.

I hope there is some ability to add your own art. I have a world where large crystals are central points in towns to collect magic. I doubt you would ever make these assets, but if there was a way for me to make them it would be awesome.

Thanks for your detailed feedback and for trying out my little mapmaking tool. I'm glad you like it! :)

Many of the things on your list other people have suggested as well. Water is currently next and first on my list. It all takes work and time, unfortunately. But I am working on it.

That sounds exciting. Yes, you're right: it makes more sense I would implement an importer instead of building all the assets myself. Thanks for your feedback. Such a possibility is on my long feature list. :)

Hello, I think it is a wonderful program and I would like to propose some elements that I would like you to include.

Types of fortifications from different periods Prehistory (Neolithic, metal age) Modern Period fortifications (XVI-XVIII centuries).

thank you

This map tool is so good! I just want to echo what people have said above, and add that I think magma/lava would be a really cool thing to add that hopefully wouldn't be much more work than water!

Also, I'd love to see a way this could be adapted for world mapping- maybe in addition to water, give us a way to map out land? That way we could draw continents, islands, etc. with scaled down things to make a larger world map?

I use Azgaar's to build my worlds, i bought this to compliment my work to map out the towns and cities, specific special locations. given steams features of the floating notes on the SHIFT + TAB you can screenshot and copy it to the note space, its super easy to take the ugly pre-gens for those things and make them beautifully detailed with this tool. using the pre-gens as a proto-blueprint guideline.

What's Azgaar? I'm on the lookout for complementary tools too

I haven't bought the game yet, but I really liked the Demo. So please forgive me if these are already available

Soon I will start my Avatar legends campaign, and I'm thinking of using this tool for the City & village maps

For that, I would really love to have some Western Assets. Train tracks, Rock formations, Dessert, canyons, bones and tents.

Also, some Eastern Style Houses would be great!

Hi!

Thank you very much for feedback! Glad you like the demo!

New assets are always on my list, but at the moment I am concentrating on optimizations and new features. At the moment I am working on an asset editor. Steam Workshop support for custom assets will be the next topic. I hope there will be also more assets from the community.

Best regards
Hannes
