Game doesn't load pass the RIP screen
As soon as I launch the game for the first time it shows the RIP screen, it doesn't load anything after that, doesn't let me press "new game" or "resume", does anyone have a similar issue?
I tried reinstalling, restarting my pc and nothing helps.

Seems like a save file problem. I've deleted the old save and it worked

Where did you find the save file? I've tried reinstalling on different drives with no success

i sacrificed my first born child and it's fixed now!
same, i cant seem to find a fix, like getting over it, people sai the save files are can be deleted from the regedit but that didn't work either.

I delete the file but then everytime i open the game the rip screen appears and the pontypants folder somehow is still there so I'm pretty sure my game is just cooked.

yeh i mean the files are supposed to appear again as they are the save files and like whenever you start the game again its going to create those files back but deleting the save file does fix the game for me, IDK why its not working for you, btw there is also another thing you can try but its in the Registry editor so like you can try at your own risk.

Win + R,
regedit (create a backup of the registry in case you mess it up)
locate: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Pontypants
delete the Pontypants folder
maybe after deleting the registry then again try the appdata method because i did them in order and then it worked, so you can try this

Further on this. IN the pontypants folder, you only need to delete the data.pain folder. THEN make sure to run the game as administrator. Nothing above worked for me until I did this and it works fine now. Was looking through the negative reviews of the game and the dev themself said to do this. Hope this helps
