Played for 40 minutes... I can't for the life of me figure out how to cross large gaps...
I've tried everything. Swinging with either arm, both arms at the same time... I can't figure out how to get across a large gap consistently. I either swing so hard that my dude cartwheels and plummets, or I don't swing hard enough and he just flails an arm out and falls straight down. I don't get it. There's no tutorial and I can't even get past the large gap (right of the dinosaur bones)... so I'm kinda stuck.

If I can't figure out a way to reliably swing the large gaps, this is gonna be a refund. I simply don't see myself enjoying this game if I'm just guessing how to pull off a move which I'm assuming is going to be necessary to master in order to make any actual progress.

As of now it feels like I'm just swinging and releasing and praying. There's no feedback to tell me I'm doing it right. If anyone knows how to reliably swing large gaps, please let me know or else I'm gonna be refunding this one.

Also is anyone else getting motion sickness? I only played 40 minutes and the room is swimming. I think it's the zoomed in view and constant jarring fast camera movements.

You probably have to hit the "grippy" rocks. You just started the game. I am sure you'll figure things out with a bit more time. Some games take time to learn, and everyone is different.

I've found that trying to swing into the jump is what makes the climber rotate so you can't grab the other side.
If you sort of pull in a straight line from bottom left to top right, then you keep moving sideways instead of turning upside down.

It's not about hitting the grippy rocks... the part I'm talking about is just a large gap with the yellow skull sign on the other side. All of the rock there is grippy. I can't even get enough momentum to make it over to get a hand on anything. As a matter of fact, xQc is currently stuck not being able to make that gap either. It's demoralizing to make zero progress every time you reach that spot and just fall.

I get that the game is supposed to be hard but if I can't even figure out how to bridge that large gap, it isn't a matter of being hard it's a matter of being frustrating because I don't understand the controls and they aren't explained.

I made a video about the first level, at minute 2:50 is the jump and there'ss a technique to it https://youtu.be/DDVC--daN5o put both your hands on the same spot below the green moss on the edge and swing back and forth 2 times by the second swing release and hold down the grab keys. Practice makes perfect

for the second part that's harder then the gap you need to be very careful with your placement because its an inches game with how close you miss the "Peak" rock after the second downward rock
I found that swinging and then jumping off like you would on a swingset on a playground does it for me. Try attaching both handy close to another and build momentum in just 3 or 4 swings before releasing both hands. (E.g. you wanna go right: swing right, left, right and release closely after the lowest point.) Using more swings to build speed just sends the guy falling or makes him flip, so less seems to be more here. I hope this helps.
