Well, depends by whom. If some person with a gun is chasing me, yeah, probably. Some big burly guy with a power tool or a cutting implement, yeah, probably.
But a pomeranian, or a june bug, or an unarmed sexy woman in lingerie carrying a packet of condoms? Probably not so much.
Nothing chases you in this game. The scares come and then they go. They are no threat to you, they can't be interacted with nor can they harm the player in any way. They only exist to elicit a fear response.

For the record I would hella buy this game for more friends if this became the situation.
If they actually interacted with the player in anyway, they'd be much more scary. Slenderman in Slender: The Eight Pages still gets jumps out of me because his very presence is a threat to the player. Slender also effectively builds tension with the music and visual/audio effects, too, none of which is really present in this game.
Quite frankly, I think this game would work a whole lot better if it had some sort of scavenger hunt like component (like Slender: The Eight Pages), where tension builds as you collect the McGuffins or as a result of the duration of play, with a singular baddie stalking and hunting you. Sure, keep the harmless jumpscares tied to the "don't scream" mechanic, but having that one baddie that could end your game, potentially around every corner, could present legitimate tension.
The map is well built and appropriately creepy, but there's nothing to do in it besides trying not to scream. Because of that, it's a really shallow experience.
When you walk on asphalt road you can find broken electric pole with sparks going from wire, you walk over it you die
So far that is the only hazard I've found. If there's a spot where you can get hurt from a fall, I haven't found it yet.
And there's a couple fallen electric lines with sparks with sparks coming out of them that are deadly.
Additionally, your camera batteries will run out if you don't collect them, so that's another failure state.
