And maybe you remember an odd "bone mace" found in the goblin camp in ch 1?
In most RPGs are creatures, which are immune to certain attacks. No reason to call the entire game "bad" just because you didn't figure out, how to beat the wisp.
A 'fun' game is not one where I have to keep every obscure bit of weaponry, becuause at some stage it just might beat something that nothing else will. The weight issue is a major factor, so you can't carry loads of spare weapons, and even if by some fluke I had it, I wouldn't be able to equip it unless it was already in one of my weapon slots.
What you're saying is, if I'm not clairvoyent and don't know I'm going to need a very ineffective 'Cold Shock' spell, or a Bone Mace before I enter that battle - It's my stupid fault for not figuring it out?
Lol - it's the games supid fault for making me spend 40 tedious minutes in a map, just becuase I was lucky enough to have Cold Shock. If I didn't have it, I couldn't have touched the thing. Totaly stupid - the game, not me.
I am forcing myself to remain calm. :)
I rename this game to Poison Rageguards.
Well, as I said, in most games of this kind we have creatures, which are immune to almost anything. As you have seen, the wisp went down quickly with the said weapon.
It's the only weapon with "magical dmg", so I kept it, because I thought, there must be a use for it. BTW, later you find a stronger version of this mace, which is really a decent weapon.
The other thing is, that we are forced to "meta gaming". We can't flee a battle and return later, we must reload an older save, go buy the equipment or learn the needed abilities, return and finsish the fight.
In many threads this criticism has come up and was yet unanswered by the devs.
XD
And then i got frustrated and just sorrounded the little ♥♥♥♥♥♥ with everybody and started to bash him anyways with all my chars.... and then, out of nowhere, 1 damage! Aurelia had equiped the magical dagger i got after the "SUPAKAWAI MEGABULLSHIT" fight at the heart of the forest ( i remember that fight well, my butt clutches even now).
I just pelted 1 to 3 points of damage at the ♥♥♥♥♥♥, very slowly, until it died.
From that day i got 8 of everything.
If those atributes are low, then your chances also go down.
Rageguards 2, coming to PC, 2014
Last night the author basically rage quit. He was trying to stay calm, but you could hear the anger in his voice.
Haha! Seems everyone is doing the rage shuffle with this game. I hope the games future doesn't suffer to much because of it.
the wisp will be removed in the next patch :)
:)
It would be quite easy to enter that battle, with no possible way to get out. If I'd not learned Cold Shock, I would have been in that situation. As it was, it took ages
People would not be happy with that scenario. A 'clue' the Bone Mace, or some magic weapon is needed would be fine.
