Missing black metal piece

Hi, I've completed chapter 3 and somehow only have 8 pieces of black metals in my inventory. Have made one round around the map to talk to everyone but no new dialogue happens. help?

Same issue. I've done every town/quest at the start of chapter 3 and then again right before the catacombs. 8/9 Kor pieces and 5/6 shrines. Can't finish either quest. This was a brand new playthrough after the chapter 4 update.

i did manage to visit all shrines. guess talked to everyone in sight. no leads on the 9th piece though.

Pulling out my hair over this. I have talked to every NPC. The only thing that makes sense is that we missed a quest, perhaps by advancing the main quest in the wrong order...?

Are we positive that all 9 pieces are attainable before Chapter 4 begins?

I'm in the same situation as you guys, only thing i can think of is I made a bad decision somewhere. The one that pops to mind is the well quest for that alchemist. I decided to share the water with the villagers, not being a ♥♥♥♥, and the quest just kinda ended. Dunno if thats the way we are 'supposed' to do this quest but yea... that's the one spot i can think of where i F'ed up.
Usually I check all possible outcomes of a quest by reloading, but for some reason i didn't do it here... fml

what did you guys decide at the well quest? (quest name and village name elude me right now)

I was a heartless bastard in that quest--I don't think it yielded black mtal, the reward was just AP and gold.

I see... It really bugs me that I dont have these side quests done yet, I dont like the possibility to be locked out of this region again like in the beginning (missed 'Dwarf Games'). It's not good for my OCD...

in chapter four you can visit every place of chapter 1-3 even the graveyard of the beginning (really good when you have a pig...^^)
I got the last shrine at chapter four and it's a nice ending but don't estimate to much it's not that spectacular.
But I'm also stucking with the last black metal piece...

Can you list the metal pieces you found, so that we know which one you missed?
The places I remember are:

- 2 on the Monterey's (the slave hunter couple)
- one in the Necromancers lair, south of Benivilla (the quest from the dyer in Mengbilla)
- one in the estate of the crow's head, north of benivilla

I had 8 pieces in the end, but I forgot where I found the others.

I am re-playing the entire game. I will post my list soon. Also, before this update, in chapter 1 you used to get the "where" shrine stone from Dennidrim forest. This no longer happens. Did any of you who beat the shrine quest get the "where" stone from elsewhere? If not, completing this quest is no longer possible...

Thanks, I progressed to chapter 4 and got the final shrine and did the dwarf games =)

Still stuck with only 8 metal pieces as you guys. Looking forward to your findings Dev.

if u fight with goblins at manolo tower ur reward in treasur qwest only belt, if u buy permision come in tower without fight ur reward will be belt and metal piece. dont know its a bug or game idia

Pretty sure that there are 2 bugs in game since release of Chapter 4. The Kor spear - people now only find 8 pieces(myself included), and the Pilgrims Path, as the first 'Where' Stone isn't there anymore. Incidentally, I had all 9 pieces before chapter 4, and still couldn't turn them in, so never had the spear yet. I've come to the conclusion that spears are rubbish anyway, but would still like to get it.

Then this would be a redundant piece. I always fought the goblins inside the tower, got the belt and nothing else, but found all pieces for the spear elsewhere.

Don't think you'll find them all since Chapter 4 came out Imminence.

This is what I did to get 9. Note that murdering all the tower goblins does NOT yield black metal. This is how I got stuck with 8 last playthrough.
1) Diego Monterei - End of Chapter 2
2) Peaceful solution in Manolo's Tower with Goblins
3) Necromancer in Corpsesnatcher quest
4) Helia Monterei
5) Oralia's Barrel (Part of Flying Foxes Main Quest)
6) Kill Kugres (Not sure if peaceful solution yields metal)
7) Head of Crows
8) Maiden - lied, lied, set her free
9) Cellar with ancient spear
