I agree that the dev could update us more on progress(I'd suggest a weekly or biweekly update on a set day and place), but ultimately being a one man team it's really hard to keep an even development pace. Especially if that development isn't your dayjob.
Myself I don't see why complain the game is fully playable and I came back replay it for some levels after a pause of few weeks and it worked like a charm and it's more the pression to make a pause to avoid chain too fast the levels and lost stpupidly that made me stop my session. :-)
Not many game could grab me like that quickly for a session or too. :-)
