Question about run back up with Orb ???

I finished the boss level (Yithidian), and started back up with the Orb. When I get to the next level I seem to be being hit by purple fire balls from nowhere. Each does doing some damage. What is that? Is there a way to avoid them?

As long as I know this purple explosive orbs represent a curse for taking the Yithidian Orb, it will damage if you're unlucky, but as long you're careful, the damage can be minimized, sadly it will follow you all the way up.

I took that orb to the surface around +15 times and was so repetitive that I even knew the level designs and all the game items.

Still pretty enjoyable how the game is made but sad there's no more content.

Thanks. It is a fun little game. The pace does change after you get the orb and make a run for it though.
